GEORGETOWN, Del. – In Georgetown, more than a hundred diapers and wipes got handed out to families in need today at Discover Church.
The event was held drive-thru style.
Organizers say there are a lot of families in need amid the coronavirus pandemic.
They say right now there’s a lot of help with school supplies, but not enough for other critical items such as diapers and wipes.
They say the event was also a chance to uplift community members.
“We thought this was just a great opportunity,” said Amy Jones, co-pastor at Discover Church.
“Lot’s of places for food assistance and medical assistance, but sometimes people forget about different needs that families have and we just thought this would be one way just to be able to pour out into the community,” said Jones.
Discover Church says they still have more diapers and wipes to give out.
