In partnership with The Repository, every Monday, Stark Community Foundation is highlighting positive happenings in our community. Here’s to Good News Mondays!
The Stark County Diaper Bank celebrates two full years of providing diaper support to families in our community experiencing diaper need.
Over the past two years, the all-volunteer organization has given nearly 240,000 diapers and wipes to help families in Stark and Tuscarawas Counties, serving an average of 135 families and 208 infants and toddlers each month.
Babies need an average of eight to 10 diapers a day, costing families $85 or more on a monthly basis.
The Diaper Bank keeps families from deciding between purchasing basic essential needs or diapers by assembling diaper donations, organizing drives and collecting funds to ensure that every baby has enough diapers to remain clean, dry and healthy.
There are now 10 community distribution partners conveniently located across the community where parents in need can pick up packs of extra diapers and continue taking care of their families with a little more ease-of-mind. Congratulations to the Diaper Bank on another successful year!
