Westfield Boy Scouts Holding Diaper Drive for Families in Need - TAPinto.net

Boy Scout Troop 73 of Westfield kicked off a diaper drive on March 22 which will run through April 18. The drive will benefit the Central Jersey Diaper Bank. Donations of diapers of any size or brand, wipes, formula, and other baby essentials are being sought.

Prior to COVID-19, according to the diaper bank, one in three families could not afford diapers. SNAP and WIC cannot be used for diapers and wipes. Since the pandemic began, requests for Diaper Bank services have increased more than 248%. Central Jersey Diaper Bank served nearly 1,800 families last year and estimate a need of 175,000 diapers to meet the need this year. The event is being coordinated by Troop 73’s older Scouts.

To donate to the drive, simply fill out a short pickup request at https://forms.gle/4GufEn4Y7NsaT5VR6  and the Scouts will do the rest.
