Most people don’t spend a lot of time thinking about diapers, but if you are a parent without enough of them they can become a major source of stress, guilt, and desperation.
The Burgwin-Wright House, located at 224 Market St. in Wilmington, will be accepting diaper donations for the N.C. Diaper Bank through March 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Anyone donating will be entered into a raffle to win a gift basket donated by Trader Joes.
When parents have reliable access to adequate diapers, the benefits to family stability, health and emotional state are significant. The Diaper Bank of N.C. - Lower Cape Fear works to meet this need by providing diapers to community partners for distribution to families in need in the community.
The Burgwin-Wright House is committed to partnering with local organizations addressing and meeting needs in the community.
The N.C. Diaper Bank accepts both new and opened packs of diapers for donations. All sizes of diapers, including adult diapers, are needed along with baby wipes and diaper cream.
