On Thursday on, OPWJS, Juandolyn was joined by the Executive Director of Social Change, Attorney Todd Belcore who is spear-heading an epic community outreach effort to offer over 30,000lbs of food, masks and diapers to residents in need. Social Change has partnered with some 10 companies and organizations including Tyson Foods, Black Men Build, Healing Garden, Pathway Christian Church and others to help those in need.
There are no restrictions or requirements to receive supplies in this drive-thru community effort. The event takes place on Sat. Feb. 6 from 12 p.m.- 3 p.m. at The Ke'Nekt located at 1492 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd, Atlanta, 30310.
In addition, Social Change is working on the 2nd Chance Bill, which seeks to offer individuals with criminal records who have redeemed themselves the opportunity to receive a certificate, which guarantees prospective employers or landlords that these individuals are no longer a risk, thus removing barriers to their livelihood.
