The Pregnancy Crisis Center and the Morristown Hamblen Health Department recently advised the Morristown Hamblen Ready by 6 Council and Rotary Club of Morristown AM that a diaper crisis had been created in Hamblen County by COVID-19.
To address the immediate impact of this crisis, Rotary AM and Ready by 6 used funds from their Early Childhood Health and Safety Grant to provide $2,500 to the Pregnancy Crisis Center to purchase diapers.
The grant purpose is to provide access to health and safety resources and training Hamblen County’s most vulnerable families and is funded by Rotary District 6780, Rotary Club of Morristown AM and Ready by 6.
Lanette Breeden, Pregnancy Crisis Center executive director, stated “the Pregnancy Center would appreciate any additional funds for this crisis.”
If anyone would like to donate to this cause, please call Lanette Breeden or Carrie Rodgers at 423-587-2273 Monday - Thursday 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
